𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮
𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗛𝗧𝗜
Nine (9) new directors have been installed to Board of Directors of the Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI). After meticulous deliberations, this effervescent team, with qualified and experienced professionals in the fields of education, tourism and research, was selected to be the driving force behind the transformation of hospitality and tertiary education in Tobago.
On Tuesday 31st May, 2022, at a ceremony held at the Top O’ the Mill Restaurant, THTI Campus, Secretary Zorisha Hackett presented instruments of appointments to the new Directors.
Secretary Hackett congratulated the members of the Board citing that they are charged with the responsibility of developing products that will continuously attract domestic and international visitors. Mandated to further develop and strengthen programmes within the Tourism and Hospitality sector, the Board is also expected to provide a ladder of opportunities that support educational advancement and access to tertiary level programmes in Tobago.
The Board will be led by Dr. Sean Nedd as Chairman, Mrs. Shurla Waldron-Jospeh Deputy Chairman while Mrs. Mia Persad- Douglas, Ms. Meisha Trim, Mr. Darrell Bartholomew, Mr. Wayne James, Mr. Kirton Sorias, Mrs. Kristel Washington-Thom and Mr. Kleon Mc Pherson will serve as Directors. Mrs. Natasha Legal-Roberts will serve as Secretary to the Board.
