Welcome!

Welcome back to school in this new online environment. We are together entering a new space and a new mode and we all have our anxieties. It has been a long period of uncertainty, changing policies and where plans made did not always succeed. I am sorry we could not have been closer during this time to provide the comfort you needed and deserve as parents of our students. We are now preparing to engage our students virtually and I thank you for your patience.

Whats New?

We will begin virtual engagement of our students on Monday 7th September, 2020 with prayer and orientation activities. Students will meet online with their Form Teachers. We will begin engaging our Fifth Form and Sixth Form subject classes on Tuesday 8th September. All other subject classes will be engaged by Monday 14th September, 2020.

Parents/Guardians

As a school we recognize that you will play a key role in ensuring our students develop routine and structure that will facilitate their learning. We look forward to working collaboratively with you to achieve our students’ highest goals. We look forward to meeting with you over the next couple of weeks in our Virtual PTA meetings.

ABOUT BISHOPS HIGH SCHOOL: Bishop’s High School, Tobago is a leading educational institution in our nation and has produced many outstanding alumni in its almost ninety-five (95) years of service.

Our mission is to develop well-rounded students by providing them with a broad academic curriculum and a wide range of cocurricular activities. The school is ever mindful of it’s creed ‘Crede Cruci’ and thus demands excellence and the exercise of the highest moral and spiritual values.

Our House System is a deep-rooted, fiercely guarded tradition of the school that is well-known across Tobago, even by non-Bishopians. We are leaders in the sporting arena in athletics and netball and rate among the best in most others. We have been increasing our CSEC pass rate over the last five years to a current 89% and have also maintained a near 99% pass rate at the CAPE level.

Indeed, we have a lot to be proud of and that we can use to propel our growth by giving our school community a strong sense of identity and by inspiring our current and future students to set new records of performance in their many areas of endeavour.

In these changing times where physical distancing is a standard for safety and where many persons have various commitments, the way we communicate and carry out transactions must become more flexible, allowing for greater convenience to our stakeholders. This will redound to increased productivity and greater success for our educational institution.
